Centreville resident Juan Rossi, Jr. has been identified as the rider who was killed earlier this week after losing control and crashing his bike.
Police say that Rossi was riding at around 10:20 a.m. on Monday, June 17 when he was riding a 2017 Yamaha YZF north on the Route 28 ramp heading toward Interstate 66 when he ran off the road and struck a guardrail.
Officials made note that Rossi was wearing a helmet. Speed is being looked at as a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation as of Thursday, June 20.
